# Launch a Saved Autonomous Pentest

## Summary

Learn how to launch a validated pentest and monitor its initial live status.

## Prerequisites

* All test details and access instructions must be validated and ready.
* The test period must be scheduled.

## Steps


1. Navigate to the **Preparation** step of your pentest configuration.
2. Click the **Launch Pentest** button in the bottom right corner.
3. Review the test details page to confirm the status changes to **Live**.
4. Check the **Brief** tab for any preliminary information while the AI agent builds its test plan in the background.

## Expected Result

Your pentest will immediately go live if the scheduled test period includes the current date. You will see the status update to **Live** and background automated scans will begin.

## Troubleshooting

**Q: Why isn't my pentest showing a "Live" status?** A: Ensure that your scheduled test period includes today's date. If the start date is in the future, the test will not go live until then.

**Q: Why don't I see any results in the Brief view yet?** A: It takes time for discovery agents and scanners to run in the background. Results will appear once the AI agent has finished building its test plan and executing initial scans.
