Create a Personal Cobalt API Token

To authenticate to the Cobalt API, you need an access token.

:::info You can create multiple API tokens in the Cobalt UI. If needed, you can revoke and regenerate tokens.

1. Navigate to https://app.cobalt.io/settings/api-tokens. If needed, sign in to the Cobalt app.
2. Enter a name for your token.
3. Select Generate New Token.
4. In the modal that appears, you should see your API token, in the Secret Token field.

Save the token. After you close the overlay, you won’t see the full token again. If you lose it, you may have to revoke the token and start over.
